Give your family the gift of a unique Christmas experience at Camarillo’s very own historical landmark, magically reimagined for the holiday season. The Camarillo Ranch Foundation is proud to offer a very special holiday home tour of Adolfo Camarillo’s 1892 Queen Anne Victorian Mansion. Discover what Christmas was like over 100 years ago as you step back in time to explore holiday traditions of the Camarillo family and the Victorian era. Each room will be beautifully decorated in memory of holidays past, creating visions of by-gone eras.
The three-story, fourteen-room Victorian Mansion was the family home of Adolfo Camarillo, namesake of the City of Camarillo. Known as “The Last Spanish Don,” Adolfo was famed for being a successful and innovative businessman, a tireless servant of his community, and a warm and generous host. His 6,000 square foot home was designed by local architects Herman Anlauf and Franklin Ward and sits on 4.5 acres of Victorian influenced gardens. In 2001, the City of Camarillo and the Camarillo Ranch Foundation completed a $1.5 million restoration of the entire property, covering the 1892 home as well as the 1905 Mule Barn and 1967 stables.
Celebrate the holiday season with the Camarillo Ranch Foundation by attending the annual Christmas at the Ranch “Santa Nights” series on December 10, 11, 17 & 18 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Visit camarilloranchfoundation.org for tickets and information.
A beautiful newly renovated 3,400 square foot home, built in 1966, awaits you with Holiday Cheer. The home was remodeled in 2017 by the owner, who is a well-known builder and inventor in Ventura County. Walls were torn down, windows were added to expand the large great room. The spectacular view of the 5th Fairway of the award winning Saticoy Club is enhanced by the large windows in this Open Concept Mid-Century Ranch Style Home. Beautiful vistas are enjoyed and viewed from every window. The 3 en suite bedrooms provide comfortable accommodations for family and guests. The openness of the living areas encourages many fun Holiday and family get-togethers.
This stunning 2-story, 4500 square foot home is perfectly situated in the gated community of Bella Vista. The sweeping corner front entrance beckons passersby as they wonder, “What does the inside of that beautiful home look like?”
The gurgling fountain at the front entrance invites us into this Italian-themed home filled with beautiful unique furnishings and accessories. The sparkling crystal chandelier in the entryway leads to the dedicated home office, which is the first peek into this warm and cozy home. The living room features a tall, glittering Christmas tree and a carved nativity scene at the fireplace. Upstairs the balcony overlooks the main rooms, including the family room with its inlaid tile floor, warm woods, wetbar, and built-ins beside the fireplace. The master suite has a sitting area for relaxing around the fireplace and looking at the view of the valley beyond.
The elegant dining room, decorated for an intimate family holiday dinner, is a showcase for the distinctive brocade chairs. The breakfast room is colorfully set up and ready to serve brunch in the morning to family and guests before they head outside to swim and play. The spacious kitchen and family room are perfect for entertaining family and friends all year long. All rooms offer a glimpse into the alluring backyard with its elevated stone bridge that spans the pool and spa. This home is a perfect example of beauty and function.
