Festival and Gala Entertainment!

Festival and Gala Entertainment!

Once again, the Meadowlark Service League has another entertaining gala and festival planned at the Adolfo Camarillo Ranch this year! Their Country Western theme will include some pickin’ and grinnin’ with a Hoedown in the Red Barn on Saturday night and will continue during the Sunday festival with an old west motif at the “Meadowlark Ranch.”

Rick Marino KHAY

Wine Auction Gala emcee and guest auctioneer KHAY DJ Rick Marino will keep the program moving after dinner with a live auction that features unique wines, wine and gourmet dining experiences, and travel packages. Rick will also introduce Alive & Pickin’ who will perform old time classics and some new songs for the hoedown dance floor.

The band members include Judy Gobble (vocals and guitar), Todd Johnson (vocals, accordion, bass, and mandolin), Sam Baton (vocals, guitar, and bass), Scott Jacobs (vocals, guitar, bass, and banjo) and Steve Moder (percussion). Their songbook is an eclectic collection of easy listening, acoustic-based music, from sixties classics to some of today’s most popular artists. Each member of the band contributes their personal musical style, feeling, and talent as they put together their own unique sound in songs that they have known, loved, and played for many years. They are all on the same wavelength as Willie Nelson when he says, “The life I love is making music with my friends.”

A Taste of Camarillo Wine, Brew & Food Festival will complement its theme of Country Western this year with some toe-tappin entertainment from California’s Caught Red Handed band. They will entertain festival guests with their rockin’ country music.

Camarillo Ranch will be transformed into the “Meadowlark Ranch” of the Old West. Guests can look forward to enjoying live music from the Caught Red Handed band, while boot scoot’n to their favorite country western songs on the dance floor.

The Caught Red Handed band is Troy Robinson, Allan Flaa and Jon Cowsill. They have been playing country music since 1988 at many of the popular venues in and around Ventura, Santa Barbara and Los Angeles counties. Their music performance history includes sharing the stage with many well-known country artists such as Vince Gill, Martina McBride, Sarah Evans, Toby Keith and Randy Travis.

Caught Red Handed has also worked as the backup band for Chris Hillman and Herb Pedersen, formerly of the Desert Rose Band. Founding members Troy Robinson and Allan Flaa, along with Jon Cowsill, deliver a blend of traditional and contemporary country music with strong vocal harmonies and a lot of good pickin’. The band’s appeal stems not only from their vocal talents and musicianship, but also from their humor and ability to draw and keep the attention of every crowd.
